Few days back when I was hanging out with an online business expert friend of mine, we were discussing about Thank You page. He was mentioning, Thank You pages could be really functional in driving massive conversions. When I asked him how to do that he gave me a few tips that I would like to share with you all.
My friend said whatever you offer on your Thank You page must be very enticing. Place it as one time offer and keep the price low. Of course, people won’t show interest to pay much. You may add a note on the top of your Thank You page like this:
‘Thank you for signing up. The 123 product is on the way to your mailbox. In the meantime, you may go through the quick link below to increase maximum sales on your Thank You page.’
This is a proven method. My expert friend insisted on this repeatedly, as he experienced drastic change in the sales figure after applying this. These are simple tricks to maximize sales on Thank You page.
My expert friend was also talking about OTO. I asked him, is that really important? He answered, the secret of sales lies in human psychology, be it online or offline. Once you have your grip over your target consumers you can sell your products easily. Create a sense of scarcity in your customers’ mind. So that they feel an emergence and the will of buying your product enhances by 10 times. But remember, the product in OTO must be related to your main product. Like if you are selling a course, in the first place the OTO product could be a set of question & answers.
But my expert friend warned me about one thing. If you start selling your product as soon as your customers land on your page, it can prove to be negative. They can simply leave your page. A better way is to move to the selling point step-by-step. First going through their needs and then show them what you got. Don’t put the sales pitch at the top of your page. You may also add a countdown timer to indicate the exact time your visitors are losing by not taking the necessary action, to create the emergence in their minds.
Thanks a lot to my expert friend, it is for him that I am able to give you a sample Thank You page. He created this for his niche sites and was kind enough to share with me. If the subscribers don’t take any action within a stipulated time they will be conveyed to another page when the countdown timer reaches zero. There is a shopping cart on the page you will observe that allows the customers to pay through PayPal.
I would like to wrap this up with a few tips:
- Keep the prices cheap, between $4-$7
- Keep your offer limited
- Make you sales only when your customer starts trusting in your product
